Laura Richards graduated with a B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003 where she concentrated on the study of glass. Her glass sculptures, which are often combined with digital prints, capture the natural free flowing forms of this medium. This series of work explores the daily factors, which together, shape who we are as individuals. She is influenced by the power of color, light, time and space because of their ability to affect emotions. These factors are not only evident but play a large role in her series.

"In my daily life, my dreams, emotions, and surroundings give direction to the infinite possibilities of what can happen in a day. I am very interested in how these everyday decisions can affect the course of my life, and through interaction affect the lives of others. Each piece comments on a different aspect of life and together they create a holistic investigation of the intermingling paths we take in life."
